Shallower is always better, and landings are needed at intervals on longer ramps. A ramp built too steep cannot be used unaided, which defeats the point of building it.
On anything steep, yes. Gradient plus wet weather is exactly where tyres lose grip, and it is the most common place we are asked to add high friction surfacing after the event.

Tarmac can normally take traffic once it has cooled, which is usually the same day. We will confirm at the time based on thickness and temperature rather than making you wait unnecessarily.
