Common questions
Will a coating survive forklift traffic?
A properly specified resin system will. Thin decorative coatings and floor paints will not, and that is the difference between a floor that lasts a decade and one that peels in a year.
Does the whole floor need coating?
Not always. Aisles, transitions and walkways take most of the wear and most of the risk. Racking bays often do not need it at all.
How long does it take to cure?
Typically overnight for foot traffic and a day or two for full MHE loading, depending on the system. We phase it so you never lose the whole floor.
How quickly can the area be reopened?
It depends on the system and the temperature. Rapid cure products take foot traffic in an hour or two and vehicles the same day. Standard resin systems generally need overnight. We tell you the cure times before you commit so you can plan around them.
Why do coatings fail?
Almost always preparation. A coating applied over a contaminated, polished or unsound substrate will lift within months however good the product is. Preparation is most of the labour on any coating job and it is what determines whether it lasts.
Is a site survey and quotation free?
Yes. Slip risk surveys and quotations are free and carry no obligation. We normally survey within a few working days and return a fixed price on the same day.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
