Common questions
Which areas count as high risk?
Anywhere a slip has a serious consequence: next to machinery, near a level change, on a gantry, beside a tank or pit. The consequence matters as much as the likelihood.
Will treatment close our risk assessment actions?
For slip related actions, generally yes, and we provide photographs and specification details as evidence.
What colour conventions should we use?
Whatever you already use, applied consistently. Introducing a new convention in one area is worse than an imperfect one applied everywhere.
How quickly can the area be reopened?
It depends on the system and the temperature. Rapid cure products take foot traffic in an hour or two and vehicles the same day. Standard resin systems generally need overnight. We tell you the cure times before you commit so you can plan around them.
Why do coatings fail?
Almost always preparation. A coating applied over a contaminated, polished or unsound substrate will lift within months however good the product is. Preparation is most of the labour on any coating job and it is what determines whether it lasts.
