Common questions
How accurate can holding down bolts be set?
Within a few millimetres using templates supplied or fabricated to the equipment drawings. Getting this wrong is expensive, so we set from templates rather than measurements.
How thick should a slab be?
It depends entirely on the loading, the sub grade and whether it is internal or external. We will size it against the actual use rather than defaulting to a standard thickness.
When can equipment be installed on a new base?
Usually seven days for light loading and 28 days for full design load, though rapid strength mixes can shorten that where the programme is tight.
Do you have your own plant and operators?
Yes. Excavators, dumpers, rollers, breakers and attachments are ours, operated by directly employed teams, so we mobilise quickly rather than waiting on hire company availability.
Can you work on a live, occupied site?
Most of our work is on operational sites. We phase the works, segregate properly, plan traffic management around deliveries and pedestrians, and work nights or weekends where that is what it takes.
Is a site survey and quotation free?
Yes. Surveys and quotations are free and carry no obligation. We normally survey within a few working days and return a fixed price against a written scope on the same day.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Yes, and Ireland. Regional teams cover single sites and national portfolios, including multi site civils programmes running simultaneously across several regions.
